About Us
Our
Story
Hi!
My name is Lisa Campbell and I LOVE TEA! And this is kind of my story.

-
One: I really don't know how to write these things and
-
Two: I'm not the center of this business, you, the tea lover is.
I built this business to share the life and beauty of tea, a gift from Mother Earth herself, with you and you, and of course you.
Together we'll go further, do better, and learn all the things along the way.
Come join us (us = me (Lisa) and my children) on this journey. We can't wait to meet you. <3
A quick history of White Cedar Teas:
White Cedar Teas began as an idea over 10 years ago and finally began its journey in 2021 (Opened April 1, 2022) when Lisa, an avid tea lover and her daughters decided to turn their passion into a business.

Driven by the desire to find high-quality, loose-leaf teas that taste great without costing a fortune, they set out on their search. Along the way, they found many wonderful teas but nothing quite suited what they were looking for.
With lots of trial and error, White Cedar Teas was born!
The long-winded and dreamy version of why I made tea my business:
Your adventure starts with tea.

Every adventure good or not so good starts somewhere, somehow, for some reason. We start every day with tea and end every day with tea, we're told this should be water, but tea is our ritual.

And you can't become the #1 most consumed beverage around the world if you start with the #1 most consumed beverage in the world. *Winky face.
It's the beginning and the end of our day. It brings us to life in the morning and helps us rest through the night.

Tea began its magical journey around 2737 BC (Before Coffee) when the wind lovingly blew some leaves into Emperor Shennong's hot water, he later came to trust in the healing and antidotal properties of tea.

Since then tea has made its way to the #2 spot on the most consumed beverage around the world with coffee being in third place.

Sorry for the tangent...

Why did I decide to sell dried leaves by the gram?

I (Lisa, the owner) absolutely love tea! I have drank tea since my Auntie (note the importance of Aunties here) is an avid tea drinker and it became my beverage of choice as I got older.

Over the years I avoided opening a food/beverage business since it's a BIG deal to sell consumable items and there are safety concerns that I don't take lightly as they are important and hold high standards if I'm going to be putting my name behind something like this.

So, I took my time and decided last year that this is what I wanted to do. I haven't looked back and I love being surrounded by all these beautiful blends and scents every day.

I cannot wait to expand into a brick mortar to share this most satisfying experience with you. *Excited giddy face.

Tea brings people together, warms cold hands, awakens the spirit within, and helps start a new day. Its history is rocky, but through good and bad it still brings peace to those who drink this magical exile.

Tea came from a simple act of accidentally falling into hot water and became the second most consumed beverage in the world, imagine the possibilities that could accidentally fall out into the world.
