Return Policy

Return Eligability

At White Cedar Teas we strive to serve you with the highest quality of loose-leaf teas and products, but if you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return it for a prompt exchange or refund. Of course there a few exceptions that we will address below.

Returns and exchanges have to be done within 30-days of purchase, shipping and handling charges are non-refundable; unless the return was a result of our error. If there was an error with your order or items are damaged please email us at contact@whitecedarteas.ca with the subject line: Support.


Return Eligibility:

​

Most of our products are returnable, with some exceptions of course.

​

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn and unused, with tags, and in it's original packaging. You'll also need the original receipt or invoice number as proof of purchase.

​

How to Start a Return:

​

  1. Please contact us at contact@whitecedarteas.ca with the subject line: Support

  2. If your return is accepted, we'll send you a return shipping label and instructions on how and where to send your package.

  3. Use original carton and packaging materials, if possible. Be sure products are protected.

​

*Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

**Returns will not be accepted at farmer's markets, trade/craft shows, exhibitions, or popup locations.

Damages & Other Issues:

​

Pleas inspect your order upon receiving it and contact us immediately if the item, is defective, damaged or if you've received the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions & Non-Returnable Items:

​

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like:

​

  • Tea and matcha - Due to health regulations

  • Perishable goods - such as food, flowers, or plants

  • Custom products - such as special orders or personalized items

  • Personal care goods - such as beauty products

  • Holiday purchases are not returnable or exchangeable

​

We also do not accept returns of opened or damaged tea, matcha, hazardous materials, flammable liquids or gases. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions or concerns about your specific item.

​

These exceptions apply to both our online store, social media shops, markets, shows, and popups.

​

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items, holiday items, or gift cards.

​

Exchanges:

​

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item with store credit.

​

Refunds:

​

We will notify you once we've received and inspected your return/exchange, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you'll be automatically refunded your original payment method by the method in which you paid. 

 

If by cash, we will send an EMT (Email Money transfer, e-transfer) to the email you request the return with.

Please remember it can take some time for your financial institution or credit card company to process and post the refund to your account.

Tea & Matcha are Non-Returnable and Non-Exchangeable:

​

Due to health regulations and obvious reasons, tea and matcha are non-returnable and non-exchangeable. Please consider only purchasing our sample boxes to try out new teas. 

​

Holiday Returns & Exchanges:

​

Holiday items are not refundable, returnable, or exchangeable at this time. They are all final sales. Please consider only purchasing our sample boxes to try out new teas in the future.
